To mark International Vulture Awareness Day, the caretakers at the Volerie des Aigles are organising a vulture awareness week for the 7th year running.
A veritable open-air observatory, the Volerie des Aigles is home to and protects around twenty vultures from ten emblematic species.
Griffon Vultures, Palm Vultures, Black Turkey Vultures, Egyptian Vultures, Condors... visitors will learn about the extreme vulnerability of these birds of prey on the planet, as well as their essential role for nature and ecosystems, by getting up close and personal with them...

The world of vultures’ at 2.30pm and 4pm. Caretakers will talk in more detail about all the characteristics of these fascinating species, as well as the dangers that currently threaten the survival of species around the world.
Workshops & games: ‘Make your own vulture’, ‘Vulture feather’, ‘Vulture memory’ and ‘Who is it’ birds of prey Saturday 07 and Sunday 08 September from 10am to 5.45pm, Wednesday 11 September from 1pm to 5.45pm.
