Concert: Brazilian colours

Duo Orpheu

Four hands and ten strings swap masks to blend sounds. A selection of choros and bossa novas rub shoulders with extracts from the soundtrack of the film Orfeu Negro, as well as more contemporary repertoire. The meeting of our instruments inspires new arrangements that explore the range of chords and rhythms so characteristic of Brazilian ‘saubade’. It's an original dialogue that doesn't shy away from mixing tones to explore new colours... and share the joy of playing!
