Once again, Saint Nicholas will be stopping off in Sélestat, a town steeped in tradition and history, to spend time with the children. Young and old alike are invited to meet him in person at various times between 4pm and 7pm.
Entertainment will keep you entertained until the big moment arrives:
Cheerful elves will hand out sweets and hot chocolate to well-behaved children (while stocks last).
Theatrical welcome by Eureka Animations and Le Chat’pitre Compagnie – between 4pm and 7pm – Town Hall
Fire juggling by Cie Nickel: between 4pm and 6.45pm: Place de la Victoire and Place d’Armes
Stras’Boum Boum brass band: 25 musicians will parade through the city centre playing music between 4pm and 7pm
“Les Souffleurs de Rêves” parade by the Cielo Company: between 4.15pm and 6.45pm – several passes through the city centre. Les Souffleurs de Rêves know better than anyone how to capture the whispers of the night. Delicately, they whisper these poems imbued with wisdom into everyone's ears through their ‘sound carriers’. Messengers of light and kindness, they spread an invitation to celebrate life around them. The messages addressed directly to the ears of spectators give an intimate echo to this majestic parade of white stilt walkers.
The traditional speech will be given at around 6:00 p.m. from the Town Hall.
