38e tournée d'été de la Choucrouterie

Since 1986, the summer tour has been a regular feature of the Théâtre de la Choucrouterie.

The show, which features some twenty tableaux interspersed with humorous interludes, combines songs in several languages - Alsatian, French, German, English and Italian - with acrobatic dance, hip-hop and other artistic performances. Broadcast throughout Alsace and across the Rhine, it attracts nearly 10,000 spectators every year.
Each edition is based around a theme, explored through a varied repertoire, mixing dialect and traditional songs with international variety.

For its 38¿ edition, entitled "Trente-Vite", the Chouc' will focus on speed, means of locomotion and roads of all kinds...
From the Beatles to Trenet, from "Blowin' in the wind" to "Le Vent nous portera", from motorbikes to bicycles, from 99 Luftballons to "Ich hab noch einen Koffer in Berlin", via Bello brunzt uff's vélo without forgetting the Queens.

In keeping with tradition, the show will close with an old-fashioned collection of eggs, flour, jam and schnapps, reminding us that "to love a country, you have to eat it, drink it and sing it".
La Chouc' celebrates life and joy, and as the Germans say, "Es lebe das leben".
