Discovery tour of the village of Hindisheim

Discover a village rich in heritage with more than 150 half-timbered houses, around sixty of which are dated by an inscription on the corner post, ranging from 1596 for the oldest to 1885 for the most recent, showing the evolution of the Alsatian house. The 14th-century chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the 14 auxiliary saints, and is the only chapel with a half-timbered bell tower in Alsace. The year 2000 column shows the various names of the village from the 8th century to the present day. At the entrance to the village, a sign proudly displays the two flowers awarded by the Villes et Villages Fleuries competition.
