Free visit of the park and its remarkable gardens

The layout of this psychiatric hospital, built from 1906 onwards under the direction of architect Hermann Graf, gives it the appearance of a suburban village: the buildings are spread out in a 23-hectare park, the design of the paths of which is inspired by the ramifications of the human brain. A botanical walk allows visitors to discover, among the many trees, conifers and flowering shrubs, several rare species and palm trees over 50 years old. This protected area is also classified as a bird sanctuary by the Ligue Protectrice des Oiseaux (League for the Protection of Birds). You will also be able to contemplate the chapel of the establishment, whose particularity is that it is made up of two parts, each with a sacristy, one for the Catholic denomination, the other for the Protestant denomination.
