Introduction to plant monotypes

Présentation

As part of the "impressions du vivant, paysages architecturaux" exhibition, artists Cécile Espinasse and Désirée Schroetter invite you to discover the plant monotype technique. Monotype is a printing technique that requires no prior engraving. It's a fast process that leaves plenty of room for experimentation. Each print is unique.

The plant monotype reproduces plant details in fine detail, and participants are invited to play with the plants to vary their compositions. No need to know how to draw, the plants do all the work! If desired, however, elements cut from fabric or paper can also be added to contrast or respond to the natural forms. Hand-engraved bird and insect stamps can be added afterwards to populate the compositions.

Initiations take place in small groups of no more than 4 people, and must be booked in advance. All materials are provided, and each participant leaves with his or her own creations (between 3 and 8 A5 cards).

We welcome accompanied children aged 4 and over, unaccompanied children aged 8 and over - and adults, of course!

Booking only by phone.
