Gîte de la Fontaine offers a detached house with a garden in the hills above the Val d’Argent, in the heart of Alsace, halfway between Sélestat and Sainte Marie aux Mines. Located in La Vancelle, a peaceful, south-facing village surrounded by mountains, it overlooks Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and the Taenchel massif. Close to the Alsace Wine Route, the gîte provides opportunities for a variety of discoveries, including historical, recreational, and gastronomic experiences. Numerous marked hiking trails (IGN map available) start from the gîte, as well as a mountain biking and cycling route 1 km away. The village has a playground and a ball court. Two restaurants are located in the village; the nearest shops are in Liepvre, 3 km away. The cottage comprises a large living/dining room opening onto the terrace and garden (with garden furniture, electric barbecue, and swing), three bedrooms (bedroom 1 with a 160x200cm bed, bedroom 2 with two 90x190cm beds, and bedroom 3 with a 140x190cm bed and two 90x190cm beds), one bathroom with a large shower and a children's bathtub, plus a second bathroom with a walk-in shower, two separate toilets, a fully equipped independent kitchen, a laundry area (washing machine and dryer), and a games area (table tennis). The windows are fitted with roller shutters with the option of sun protection. Babies are welcome (travel cot, changing mat, high chair, etc.). Children and adults alike will find books and games, a TV, a Blu-ray DVD player, a mini hi-fi system (CD player, Bluetooth, USB port, internet radio, DAB+FM, Spotify Connect, and free Wi-Fi). The house is available for weekly or nightly rental (minimum 3 nights): duvets, pillows, and sheets are included (beds made). Towels are available for an additional fee (€5 per person). Tourist tax is included. A mandatory final cleaning fee of €100 applies. Smoking is not permitted. Pets are not allowed. Nightly rates range from €125 to €180 depending on the booking period.
