Pottery wheel training course

The aim of the course is to learn how to make pottery on a potter's wheel powered by human or electrical energy. Accompanied by the ceramist, participants experiment with making their project at their own pace, according to their abilities. The trainees will keep 6 pieces that the ceramist will fire, glaze and put in the kiln for a second firing. The pieces can be collected one month after the course.

Course :

• Day 1: preparing the clay, learning how to centre and make the cylinder
• Day 2: making free-form shapes
• Day 3: finishing turned pieces: throwing and decoration

Who should attend? Beginners, amateurs and enthusiasts aged 16 and over.
