1990 Christmas Concert by the Harmonie Orchestra

Harmonie 90 presents a winter concert with a repertoire that showcases the harmony orchestra and, above all, St. Foy Church and its beautiful acoustics.

They have chosen several works featuring well-known themes that showcase the expressiveness and lyricism of the entire orchestra and stir the emotions of the audience.

The programme includes the most impressive work on the programme, a symphonic poem based on the music of Charlie Chaplin, with all the nostalgia of silent films. Beauty and the Beast and the magic of fairy tales set to music, but also Jurassic Park and the majesty of the musical themes composed by the great John Williams, allowing the orchestra to develop its full power.

This will be a reorchestration specially created by musical director Julien Suwatra, taken directly from the symphonic suite and arranged for a large wind orchestra. Other original works for wind orchestra will also feature in the concert, with a nod to the Christmas festivities, of course.
