The scene is set: a neighbourhood undergoing redevelopment. Homes are being emptied. Demolition and reconstruction work has begun. Only one house remains standing. A father refuses to give up his home to the demolition machines. He lives with his daughter, whom he tries to instil with the courage to resist. This is the story of a man alone, facing a future that the authorities promise will be clean and smooth. Between resilience, struggle and resistance, this text, both harsh and poetic, is an ode to the hope for a better world.
