Concert: Hooverphonic

Hooverphonic is a Belgian electronic and pop music group. Formed in 1995, it was initially influenced by trip-hop. Their style, at the crossroads between Massive Attack, Archive and Portishead, has evolved to include elements of dream pop, alternative rock and classical orchestration.

In 2000, the trio recorded The Magnificent Tree, their third and most iconic studio album. Buoyed by the aura of the elegant ballad Mad About You, considered one of the band's masterpieces, the album went double platinum and earned Hooverphonic international renown.

Twenty-five years after its release, the band is putting it back in the spotlight with a world tour. The three musicians will be in Sélestat for one of their rare national dates. It will be an opportunity for them to showcase their elegant pop, enriched with orchestral influences, a perfect backdrop for the captivating voice of singer Geike Anaert.

They will be accompanied by a string quartet for the occasion, making the evening even more special.
