Sixty years after the first water law was passed, rivers can be considered to have been ‘cleaned’ of their most visible pollution. While we must sometimes resist the temptation to ‘clean’ (süffer mache = make very clean) the river of biological elements that provide shelter and food for living creatures, we must also be concerned about the many invisible forms of pollution linked to our lifestyles. Isn't the best way to clean up our rivers to stop producing waste?
Debate with artist Laurent Spitz (see the ‘River Museum’ exhibition), the SDEA and the SMICTOM, with the added bonus of a screening of Serge Dumont's contemplative film ‘Plaidoyer pour un arbre’.
Suitable for all ages 12 and above.
