This building, which was listed as a historic monument in 2008, was an original and pioneering project at the time of its construction. At once a farm, a cradle for the study and exploitation of petroleum, the birthplace of agricultural chemistry and an experimental agronomic station, the Château Le Bel farm is one of the last architectural testimonies to an exceptional scientific and industrial adventure in Alsace, whose implications and consequences go beyond regional boundaries.
