Marquetry Exhibition

The marquetry club is delighted to present its annual works and creations at an exhibition combining creativity and expertise!
For this 2025 edition, the guest of honour is Martin Bernhart, an advertising photographer by trade, and now a 72-year-old self-taught craftsman. A native of Bolsenheim, his eye has always been drawn to cutting-edge mechanical systems, an interest he attributes to the time he spent with his grandfather, a car mechanic. Over the last ten years or so, he has developed a passion for marquetry, culminating in the development of his favourite object: his marquetry box. This object gives him the opportunity to give free rein to his artistic needs. ‘As well as keeping memories alive, I think that making a useful object that can be used every day and give pleasure to those who use it adds to its appeal. I'm trying to progress in this art, and to offer work that is increasingly meticulous and of high quality.’
