Many events are planned as part of the European Heritage Days:
Friday:
10:00 pm: Take part in a presentation of the milestones demarcating the commune
The milestones were laid between the 16th and 18th centuries, gradually defining the boundaries of the Dorlisheim ban. Of the 186 milestones listed in the August 1816 minutes, around 40 remain today. The slide show will show the most remarkable of these, with the coats of arms of the neighbouring communes and the directional furrow. The lecturer, Henri Oury, will present the particularities of these boundary markers and the disputes between communes concerning boundary markings.
Saturday:
4:30pm: Walk to discover the commune's emblematic boundary markers
Take a stroll to discover the most remarkable landmarks in the vineyards and forest of Dorlisheim. Comments will be provided by Henri Oury. A gourmet and refreshing break will be offered during the walk.
14:00-18:00: Learn an ancestral skill: basketry
L'amicale du château welcomes Emma Pieter, artisan basket maker, who will present during her creations, a blend of ancestral know-how and sparkling creativity.
2:00-6:00 pm: Wooden games exhibition
Wooden and traditional games will be on display at the Château de Dorlisheim. In fine weather, they will be on display in the park.
Sunday:
10:00am - 5:00pm; Discover the art of wire
Régula Angerer handles the raw material of wire with great affection, passion and infinite patience. Come and watch works being created and admire them at the Château de Dorlisheim.
