European Heritage Days: Tours, film and lecture at the synagogue

European Heritage Days: visit the synagogue from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday, followed by the showing of the film "La plus précieuses des marchandises" at 8pm. Synopsis of this animated film, directed by Michel Hazanavicius: "During the Second World War, in a snowy Polish countryside, a modest couple of lumberjacks live in a small wooden house. A freight train passes in front of their property, and every day the woodcutter prays that one of the foodstuffs will be dropped off for them. As she wisely watches the train go by, a piece of merchandise seems to have strayed from one of the wagons. Realizing it's an infant, the woodcutter takes in and raises the child as her own, in spite of her husband". Then a lecture on the history of the synagogue on Sunday September 21 at 3pm, followed by an open house until 6pm.
