Rhinwald woodland reserve

A protected forest of 1,300 hectares located between Marckolsheim and Schoenau, this reserve is crisscrossed by former branches of the Rhine, notably the Steingruengiessen (a beautiful phreatic river). The Rhine forest is also referred to as the "Rhineland jungle" due to the diversity and density of the species living there. You can explore this environment by following our nature trails.
