Christmas Concert: Shadows and Light

Darkness falls. Dressed in period costumes, everyone leans over the Child of Light. From this intimacy emerges a powerful gentleness in chiaroscuro, like a painting by Georges de La Tour. The soothing power of the first songs builds to an exhilarating jubilation. Stories of an Alsatian Christmas of yesteryear accompany this musical vigil. 

The programme includes traditional Christmas carols as well as works by Adam, Anglea, Berlin, Forrest, Hagenberg, Lauridsen, Mendelssohn, Rutter, Poulenc, Verdi...

The Choeur Lyrique d'Alsace will offer its audience a colourful encounter of musical emotions, tenderness and passion. A spiritual and poetic journey into the luminous heart of Christmas.

Through staging and lighting, and medieval costumes, the audience will be transported to the delights and flavours of Christmas.

With the passion and high standards that drive it in concert, the Choeur Lyrique d'Alsace will not leave its audience unmoved. A concert not to be missed!
