Présentation

Accessible only from the Volerie des Aigles (paid admission).

Mentioned in 1270 as the property of the Rathsamhausen family, the castle was purchased by the town of Sélestat at the end of the 15th century. Damaged during the Thirty Years' War, it was sold in 1649 to the former mayor of Sélestat, who partially restored the keep, the main building and the chapel. Listed as a Historic Monument in 1964.

Today, the ruins are home to the Eagle Park, which offers an impressive and breathtaking spectacle, where emotions run high and thrills are guaranteed: the flight in complete freedom of the world's largest birds of prey. A unique opportunity to observe birds that are unapproachable in the wild up close.

Admiring the aerial spectacle of eagles, vultures, kites and other falcons in the magnificent setting of Kintzheim Castle is a unique and emotionally rich experience.
