La rue des chevaliers
A shopping street right in the heart of the town centre.
House number 46 is called the Maison Goll. The rather narrow facade of this sixteenth century house stands out, with its impressive two-floor oriel window decorated with pilasters and medallions and which in 2001 was embellished with trompe l'oeil paintings produced in the spirit of the Renaissance. Previously known as “A la Bourse” and then “Au Boeuf”, it has apparently always been used for commercial activities, as the archways on the ground-floor suggest.
Every year this street is also the site of a medieval festival, during which waders, fire-eaters and knights take possession of it.
