Presentation
Plume d'argile is a ceramics and pottery workshop based in Central Alsace.
After 10 years working in archaeology, Delphine Casappa professionalised her ceramics by training for a year with a journeyman potter.
She then enrolled at the Centre Professionnel International de Formation aux Arts Céramiques, where she obtained a diploma in plastic ceramics.
An artistic and ethical approach
Where does this inner vital impulse that drives all living beings to act come from? According to Aristotle, it's linked to the presence of a soul, anima, which sets a physical body in motion with a view to achieving self-fulfilment.
Delphine adorns her porcelain and stoneware pieces with pure, graphic designs. The line in movement pays homage to the living by revealing their Anima, their vital emanation.
As an archaeo-ceramist, Delphine is keen to combine the skills of ancient civilisations with today's technologies. She is committed to producing and teaching eco-responsible and sustainable ceramics.
