Recital by Prof. David FRANKE, professor of organ and improvisation at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg im Breisgau.
Winner of the Grand Prix d'Improvisation at the Concours International d'Orgue "Grand Prix de Chartres" in 2008, as well as the Audience Prize at the International Competition for Organ Improvisation in Haarlem/Netherlands in the same year, David Franke has since pursued an international career as a soloist, performing in renowned churches and concert halls, as well as at organ festivals throughout Europe. His programme at the keyboard of Andreas Silbermann's historic organ is constructed as a bridge between French music (G. Muffat and N. de Grigny) and German music (J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach and Johann Gottfried Müthel). The recital will conclude with an improvisation by Professor Franke.
