The Ungersberg
The Ungersberg
Présentation
Culminating at 901 metres, the Ungersberg is one of the foothills of the Hohwald massif, which separates the 'cantons' of Villé and Barr. From its summit, there is a beautiful view over the plain of Alsace and over the summits of the Vosges. The very varied subsoil has favoured mining, with the iron ore mines and coalmines. Numerous varieties of conifers and broad-leaved trees grow on the Ungersberg.
