Saint-Vit Alpin Garden

While having a walk in the forest, enjoy the discovery of a splendid Alpine Garden made out of floral beds laid out in terraces. The latter is located on a rocky headland, within an outstandingly beautiful glade. It enables the whole of its visitors to disfrut from an unforgettable and unspoilable look out onto the plaine of Alsace and the ruins of the Castles of Haut-Barr and Géroldseck. Going downwards, you will be delighted by the encounter of a Cave changed into a Vault, in which an altar has been set up on behalf of Saint-Vit. This place turns out to be a safe haven for people longing for quietness and serenity. Masses are celebrated within the Cave on Easter and Whit Monday as well as on the first of May and the first Sunday of September. The Cave is accessible by foot in 1 hour if you come from Saverne, or in 20 minutes if you come from the Schweizerhofer Forest House.
